In a world where potentially harmful chemical ingredients are common in personal care products, and many non-synthetic deodorants do not work as well as they should, it can be difficult to find an organic alternative that still meets the needs of your everyday deodorant.
I am excited to introduce my Organic Deodorant, which I believe is one of the safest deodorants available. Created for both men and women to replace the non-synthetic varieties, it can even be used by teens.
So how effective is it? So effective, in fact, that it was created to help you withstand a 50+ mile bike ride in the humid summer sun!
And... how safe is it? Read below to discover all the reasons why I believe my deodorant should be your first choice for healthy underarm body protection.
Toxin-Free Deodorant and so Safe You Can Eat It!
You can eat my deodorant, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It doesn’t taste very good.
Your underarms are one of the most sensitive areas of your body. So doesn’t it make sense to keep harsh chemicals away from them?
Aluminum, in particular, is one of the worst metals you can put on your skin. It’s often added to many non-organic deodorants as an antiperspirant. Aluminum is a potentially dangerous toxin that may lead to health issues when applied to the body. Though, my organic deodorants are not antiperspirants. I believe it is good to sweat to help eliminate toxins.
My deodorants have been formulated to contain no harmful chemicals or additives including aluminum,, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, petroleum, phosphates, DEA, or dyes. Plus, there are no synthetic, artificial, or genetically modified ingredients.
Instead, my deodorants are USDA-certified organic. Plus, everything is assembled by hand in an inspected facility with equipment cleaned with only green products.
And the few quality ingredients included in my Organic Deodorants are 100% food-grade and completely safe for you to eat! Although, I don’t actually recommend eating my deodorant. It is a testament to just how safe the product is.
I personally believe this one point is so important… that the entire deodorant and all the ingredients are edible. I have long been a believer that if the ingredients in your personal care product aren’t edible, then you shouldn’t use them.
Simple and Pure Organic Deodorant
It is my belief that simple and pure is best, and since my deodorant contains none of the added fillers and artificial ingredients that others do, it has minimal ingredients. So few, in fact, that there are only five ingredients in my unscented deodorant:
- Baking Soda
Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, is one of the safest and most versatile substances available.
The usually fine white powder works wonders in my deodorant formula by helping to prevent body odor. Baking soda is also naturally aluminum free.
- Cold-Pressed, 100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
I’ve long said that coconut oil is the smartest oil you can use in cooking, and now, I’m also recommending it as a beneficial, effective ingredient in my Organic Deodorant. The ingredient in coconut oil that makes it work so well is lauric acid.
But the coconut oil quality also has to be taken into account. The coconut oil in our deodorant is certified organic and is cold pressed to avoid destroying coconut oil’s beneficial properties.
- Organic Carnauba Wax
Carnauba wax is widely used in the cosmetic, body care, and food industries. It is beneficial for cosmetics because it is very durable, and produces a glossy finish. This carnauba wax is also toxin-free.
- Organic Shea Butter
Shea butter is a vitamin A cream from West Central Africa. For centuries, shea butter has been highly regarded as a superior skin moisturizer, having the ability to penetrate deeply, softening the skin.
Essential Oils... Luxurious Scents Without the Chemicals
Although my unscented deodorant contains only the above ingredients, I wanted to give you a few options without using harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients.
Many “scented” deodorants on the market use artificial fragrances to produce the smell. These added chemicals may irritate your skin or create sensitivities.
Instead, I use only pure essential oil blends from plants to make up each unique deodorant fragrance.
These scents can be worn comfortably by a man or woman: lavender and “fresh,” which has a slightly woodsy, musky scent.
Assembled by Hand in Eco-Friendly Packaging
You’ll be pleased to know that not only do our deodorants contain only the finest ingredients, they are also handmade and artisanal-grade. My Organic Deodorants are made in small batches and then hand-poured into each deodorant stick, utilizing both artistry and craftsmanship in each product.
My deodorants are packaged in BPA-free polypropylene plastic and the labels are made from 100% tree-free paper.
For added convenience, you don’t need to remove the label from the container before recycling, since they are both recyclable.
Cruelty-Free, Vegan-Certified, and Free From Common Allergens
My Organic Deodorants are created in a responsible way, without harming animals. My deodorants are cruelty-free, and have not been tested on animals.
My Organic Deodorants are vegan-certified through Vegan Action, and free from any and all animal-derived ingredients. The ink on the front and back of the label is also vegan.
Although my deodorants are created using organic ingredients, products without synthetic fillers can still create allergies, and I wanted to make my deodorants safe for everyone. For that reason, it is free from the common allergens including soy, wheat, corn, and nuts.
