Why is there a 0-minute interval for the sunrise feature?
With this feature, the Sun Alarm's light turns on to full intensity immediately when the alarm time comes. This feature is helpful for hearing impaired users or people needing an instant awakening.
Does the Sun Alarm™ work with foreign electricity?
Yes, the Sun Alarm™ is fully capable of handling foreign currents with the use of a travel power converter.
What purpose does the data port serve?
The data port works with the new SA-300W controller. This new device allows the Sun Alarm to control an external lamp up to 300 Watts.
The built-in light doesn't wake me up, what can I do?
You may want to reposition your Sun Alarm™ so that it is directly adjacent to your pillow.
Setting a longer sunrise duration can also help. Although the light of the Sun Alarm™ helps wake your body, you may also use the Flash feature, beeper, or the AM/FM radio.
The new SA-300W controller works with the Sun Alarm SA-2002 to control an external lamp up to 300 Watts.
The alarm does not work or the security feature does not work.
The alarm will not function if the security feature is activated. As well, the security feature will not function when the alarm button is turned on.
The Sunrise does not work.
The Sun Alarm is designed to simulate a sunrise. The Sunrise light cycle begins prior to the set alarm time.
For example, with a 30 minute Sunrise, the light will start 30 minutes before your alarm time. If you set your alarm time at 7am, the light will start at 6:30am. As the light starts off very low, it will take a few minutes for you to see the light.
If you are testing the Sun Alarm with a 30 minute sunrise, please keep in mind that the alarm set time must be more than 30 minutes after the clock time. For example: set the clock time to 7am and set the alarm time to 7:35 am. In 5 minutes you will see the alarm button start blinking, and then you will see the sunrise begin within several minutes.
