1. How many sprays are in each bottle?

   A: There is typically a 30 day supply per bottle. (As it is harder to measure liquid than it is capsules, this can vary).



2. What is the shelf life?

   A: There is a two year shelf life when stored at room temperature. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat (i.e. hot car, direct sunlight).



3. Where and how should I store this?

   A: We recommend storing this in a cool dry place.



4. Is it gluten free?

   A: Yes, the Melatonin spray is gluten free



5. Is this suitable for children?

   A: No, this is not suitable for children.



6. What is the age recommendation?

   A: 18 years and older.



7. Are any ingredients in the product organic?

   A: No.



8. Why should I take it?

   A: In countless studies, melatonin has been shown to increase your feeling of sleepiness, help you fall asleep more quickly, lengthen total sleep duration, enhance overall sleep quality, improve morning alertness, and reduce daytime fatigue. If you have any of these issues we would highly recommend taking our Melatonin Spray.



9. How exactly does it work?

   A: The Melatonin Spray contains an exclusive blend including the sleep aids melatonin and L-trytophan that kick start your natural melatonin in gear to aid your overall sleep quality.



10. Where is this sourced from?

    A: The Melatonin is manufactured using natural product starting materials. The natural source material of 5-Methoxytryptamine (5-MT), also known as mexamine, is closely related to the neurotransmitters serotonin and melatonin. Please note that 5-MT has been shown to occur naturally in the body in low levels.



11. Can I open the bottle and drink the liquid?

    A: We do not recommend opening the bottle and drinking the liquid as each dose is carefully measured by each spray.



12. Is it safe to consume while pregnant or nursing?

    A: We recommend contacting your health care provider during pregnancy and nursing to ensure this is safe for you to consume.



13. Is it safe for diabetics?

    A: Yes, this is safe for diabetics to consume.



14. Are there any medical conditions or medication that should not be used in conjunction with this supplement?

    A: We do not recommend taking the Melatonin if you are on any type of anti-depressants or are prone to depression. We would suggest contacting your health care provider if you have other medical issues.

    We also do not recommend taking this if you are currently taking any hormone replacements without first consulting with your doctor.



15. Is the container recyclable?

    A: The container cannot be considered recyclable because there is a stainless steel spring in the pump mechanism. This is very small however, because of this, it does not allow the package to be recycled.

    However, if the package is going to a professional plastics recycling facility, they often have magnets that pull the tiny metal parts out after the package has been ground.



16. Does it meet Kosher and/or Halal certifications?

    A: No, it does not.



17. Is there any possibility of corn being present in the product? If so, is it NON-GMO?

    A: No, there is no corn present. The ingredients were specifically chosen to avoid corn as a source material.



18. Does it contain or is it manufactured in a facility that processes any type of: Soy, Dairy/Milk, Casein, Maple, Nuts?

    A: It is free from soy, yeast, wheat, dairy, and casein.

    The product itself is free from maple and nuts; however, the facility does manufacture products that contain maple and nuts. Please know that the machines are carefully cleaned after each batch.



19. I am lactose intolerant will this be suitable for me?

    A: Yes, this is suitable for those who are lactose intolerant.



20. Is it free of animal byproducts?

    A: Yes, it is free from animal byproducts.



21. Does it require refrigeration?

    A: No, it does not require refrigeration.



22. Is it safe to take with blood thinners?

    A: We suggest that you discuss with your physician whether or not this should be taken with blood thinning medication.



23. Should this be taken with food and (or) water?

    A: It is not required.



24. Are there any known side effects from taking Melatonin?

    A: Depression and nightmares can occur from too much melatonin, which is why we recommend sticking to the serving size of 6 sprays and not taking if you are on anti-depressants or prone to depression.



25. What is the vegetable glycerin for?

    A: As an all natural palm derived absorption enhancer, sweetener, and preservative.



26. Will the glycerin cause tooth decay?

    A: Glycerin has an antibacterial potential, which is not well recognized. When living bacterial dental plaque is examined with a phase contrast microscope, all of the motile microorganisms (spirochetes, amoebae, motile rods, tricohmonads, etc) can be seen actively moving about. If a drop of glycerin is added to the solution in which the bacteria are living, all motility instantly ceases.



27. Dr. Mercola mentions that the melatonin is for occasional sleep problems and I need help every night. Does this product build up in the system so that it would need to be used only occasionally?

    A: The long term goal is to use the melatonin along with improving your overall health by increasing exposure to the sun, eating right for your Nutritional Type, increasing movement, drinking adequate water, deep breathing, and addressing any emotional suppression. At which time the melatonin should no longer be needed.



28. Can someone with ADHD or learning difficulties take this product?

    A: Yes, this is safe for someone with these challenges.



29. Is your Melatonin spray a bioidentical hormone replacement?

    A: Yes, the melatonin used in the Mercola Spray is bioidentical to the melatonin produced by the human body.



30. Why can Melatonin not be taken when taking a hormone replacement?

    A: Melatonin can synthesize serotonin into more melatonin. Depending on the hormone replacement therapy you're undergoing that may be fine, or it may be very dangerous. This is why we highly recommend checking with your doctor before taking melatonin.



31. Why does this contain citric acid?

    A: To adjust your pH for stability of active ingredients and to prevent bacterial/mold growth.



32. Where is the citric acid derived from?

    A: The source of the citric acid is beet/cane.



33. Why isn't there any folic acid to help with the B6 absorption?

    A: Folic acid is not soluble or stable in the liquid formulation that optimally stabilizes the main active ingredients required for relaxation and sleep. Folinic Acid (calcium folinate) could be used in the USA, but is considered a drug in Canada and several other countries.



34. Are there any Salicylates present?

    A: No, there are none present.



35. What exactly do you derive your spearmint flavor from or is it processed synthetically?

    A: The spearmint is from all natural spearmint used to make the flavor, and not processed synthetically.



36. Are there any sesame seeds/oil present?

    A: No, there are none present.
